CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Thank you to the many dedicated teachers, leaders, librarians and committee members who keep the programs running week to week. Without you, there would be no Christian Education program to serve our growing population of children and youth.

In order to be effective in promoting growth in our Christian life, we need a partnership between the congregation and its activities and Christian nurture within our homes. The take home booklets and sheets that come with our Sunday School material are intended to foster discussion at home. Vern often encourages parents to talk to children about the theme of the morning message during his time with the children. Our church library has many wonderful books, tapes and videos that can be used at home to foster "faith talk". We have heard many testimonials of baptismal candidates that attest to the influence of their families in their faith journey. As we share with each other how we share our faith in our homes we want to focus on areas such as worship, education, service and fellowship. We challenge you as congregational members to come to us and volunteer to write about your family experiences for the "Crosswalk’. As well, if you have some ideas as to ways that we can better support Christian growth in families (of all ages and sizes) talk to us. We want to continue to grow together and support each other to become more Christ-like in our daily walk.
