SERMONS FROM VERN RATZLAFF
INTRODUCTION TO "ACCORDING TO VR II"
In 1992 my faith was greatly enhanced by the preaching of our pastor Vern Ratzlaff and I determined to collect a number of his sermons which I published in booklet form under the title According to V.R.. The book was well received but I thought my purpose — to present great sermons for the meditation of many seekers — would be better served if the material were organized more thematically. I cast about for ways to achieve this when three of our Lord’s servants, Kathy and Jeff Olfert and Dave Waldner came to my rescue with great skill, talent and technical knowledge and have really produced this volume.
We hope that many will benefit from the thoughts and words of V.R. And that G-d will be glorified in the hearts of this people through this effort.
I have exercised my editorial prerogative in placing the sermons in six major themes;

- Stories of Challenge
- Special Occasions
- Lenten Questions
I have tried to place the sermons in the order in which they were given in each thematic arrangement. My apologies where this may prove a hindrance.

Please note that many of the sermons refer to Greek and Hebrew words - these have been recreated using specific fonts (WP Greek Century and WP Hebrew David respectively) - if your system doesn't have these fonts or an appropriate substitute the words may appear to be garbled text.
