I was raised on a small farm near the town of Henderson, Nebraska. After a B.A. in history, a year of voluntary service, a stint as a youth pastor, three years of Divinity study, and a marriage, my wife Patty and I spent ten years in Minneapolis, Minnesota co-pastoring Faith Mennonite Church. In 2007 we relocated to Saskatoon. Since then I have been shoveling snow, enjoying walks along the river, and savouring some of the best locally harvested produce in the world. In addition to this, I am a pastor at Nutana Park Mennonite Church as well as Tiefengrund Rosenort Mennonite Church. |

I grew up in Hepburn Saskatchewan, before travelling to British Columbia to meet my spouse (Becca) and get my degree. I spent three wonderful years on Vancouver Island before the frigid weather of Saskatchewan called me home. I started at NPMC in the fall of 2022, and I am very passionate about providing a safe place for people to explore their faith. I enjoy playing soccer, reading, exploring new hobbies, and spending time with my people and my animals.

I have lived in Saskatoon for most of my adult life, but I also love to travel and explore new places. I began serving as a pastor at the old age of 21 and it has been my vocation since, working with youth, young adults, worship, and various other pastoral roles. Serving with so many quality people in a variety of churches has been an amazing journey. I am married to Una, who loves her work as a registered nurse on maternal services. Three of my adult children live in Saskatoon, but my oldest and her husband moved to Australia and are raising our two grandchildren so far away! You may see me floating down the river on a paddleboard, walking the city trails, enjoying a craft beer while watching sports, or reading a good book on my deck. My passion is to live and communicate the hope of Jesus in a compelling, authentic and inclusive way.
