Resources for "Understanding Gender and Sexual Diversity: Welcoming Conversations" Series.
All ages are invited to gather on
Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. in the lounge

As a community of faith that proclaims inclusion and participation for all people we seek to explore our commitment to diversity. Specifically, we will delve into a deeper understanding of gender expression, identity and attraction. We will learn more about using pronouns, how to enter into supportive conversation with transgender and non-binary people and how we might become solid allies of our friends, family members, and fellow NPMC congregants in the LGBTQ2S+ community.

We desire open discussion about the norms and assumptions with which many of us have grown up and seek to challenge those assumptions and biases in a safe and welcoming environment.

This series will begin with a general introduction of terminology and commonly asked questions. It will continue with sharing from folks of our own church community who have so generously agreed to enter into this dialogue. Finally, our conversations will move toward ways in which we as individuals and the larger church might become allies.
